How much does a chart cost?

Well that depends.  What is the chart for?  What instrumentation? How long does it need to be? Two minutes?  Ten minutes? Obviously, a three minute arrangement of a pop song for trumpet, tenor sax, trombone and 4 piece rhythm section takes less time to create than the same pop song arranged for 40 piece pops orchestra. This why I'll need to know details of your project to give you an accurate price.

What do you need to get started?

As much information about the arrangement or project you can provide.  The more I know about how the arrangement or recording will be used the better I can fit it to your needs.  How long does it need to be (in minutes)? What instrumentation?  What is the skill level of the ensemble?  What is the singer's range?  What message are you trying to get across?  etc. If it's a transcription or an arrangement based on an existing work, a CD, MP3, any existing lead sheets or scores are helpful.

How will I receive my project?

If it's just charts (arrangements) I can email them to you as PDFs which you can print yourself.  I can print the arrangements on plain paper and send them to you as well.  If it's a recording project, there are many options, MP3's, CD's, audio files on a hard drive, whatever best suits your needs.

What is the difference between an arrangement and an orchestration?
